LIFESTYLE FREEDOM

I BEAT ALL

Deciding i am to be

THE ODDS

the One

I was seventeen when I ran away. I rented a ran down little house in the small town of Ephraim, Utah. No heaters, the roof caving in and leaking, and cockroaches. I got a minimum-wage job at a flag pole factory, and my little brother moved in with me, so I was doing my best to look after him. We lived on fast food and ramen noodles.

I was making a
lot of bad decisions.

One day while at work, I convinced my co-workers to make and explode a pipe bomb with me. Everyone involved got fired – except me. My boss had a soft spot for me. He knew what my home life had been like, and he believed in me and saw my potential.

I am the 2nd born of 4 children. We were an extremely poor family. It caused a lot of hardship. Dad worked two jobs and was rarely around. He and my mom continually argued over money. They separated three times. My sister ran away when she was only 15. I was crying while I helped her pack and leave through the window. My brother chose to be emancipated and moved in with me. My parents were working hard and doing the best they knew how to make things work, but there was a
lot of dysfunction.

My saving grace was deep inside I felt I had unlimited potential, and I knew I had the power to uplevel my life as long as I was willing to do whatever it would take. On my bedroom wall, along with a poster of a Lamborghinis, another of Pamela Anderson, I had one of Jerry Rice that said…

“Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I can have what others can't.”

These words changed my life.

I was raised in a church that expects young men to go on 2-year service missions after
high school. But not me; I had no interest in doing so.

After a few years of living in this rickety run down house on my own, I could tell I was on a downhill trajectory to nowhere. So I did a 180 and decided to go on a mission. I shocked everyone: My parents, friends, brother, and boss. Even my girlfriend begged me not to go.

But I saw it as a way to reset my standard and uplevel my life.

I was assigned to Peru. It was the hardest thing I’d done in my life. I didn’t speak the language. I was entirely outside of my comfort zone. Every day was a new challenge, including eating guinea pig and horse, elevation sickness, and surviving an 8.1 magnitude earthquake.

But I transformed in Peru.
I learned to be comfortable being uncomfortable, and I learned a lot about leadership.

I returned, and while attending college, I sold home security systems door to door. I debated quitting daily, and 80% did. But I doubled down on my efforts, doing what others wouldn’t.

The next year I ran the #1 sales team in the company, and became a millionaire by 26.

This success parlayed into a 15-year leadership career leading 121 sales teams in 41 states.

At age 30, on a Sunday, I spent a few hours reverse engineering how much passive income from rentals I’d need in order to create true financial freedom. The answer was 40 rental doors.

So I committed to a goal:
40 doors by age 40. “40 by 40” became my Mantra. I made it my passwords and
my screen saver. .…

I achieved the goal by 36, and the following day increased my goal to ownership in 1,000 doors by age 40. I hit that goal as well.

Without a doubt, one of the biggest drivers of my success has been living by Jerry Rice quote:

“Today I will do
what others won’t, so
tomorrow I can have what others can’t.”

More deeply, along the way,
I set a concrete intention:
I will be the one to completely uplevel our family’s future, our expectations, happiness, impact, and legacy.

I will be the One to
Reset the Standard.

Today, I’ve been able to curate the life I’d only dreamed of. I’ve traveled to over 55 countries, I’ve completed a Mt. Everest expedition, spoken on stages across the country, built our own real estate fund, Axia Partners, and created the Allred Family Foundation.

I get to do business with my best friends, and most importantly, I enjoy an incredible family with my beautiful ride-or-die wife and our four amazing children.

What fires me up professionally is helping other people achieve lifestyle freedom.

One of my life goals is to help create direct value for 10M people and help 1K people achieve financial freedom through passive income.

I still wake up every day and remind myself, “Today I will do what others won’t, so tomorrow I can have what others can’t.” And the best part is … I’m just getting warmed up!
